Eight Pieces of Brocade

A Qigong Warrior Practice
2
1

Join me, from Kauai, for the Eight Pieces of Brocade. This beloved thousand- year-old qigong practice originated with Chinese General Yue Fei- to help his soldiers maintain spiritual/mental/physical fitness during prolonged battle.

Practice daily, for maximum benefit. But of course, even once is beneficial.

The sequence is:

  1. Lifting the Sky

  2. Draw a Bow, Shoot an Arrow

  3. Connect Heaven & Earth

  4. Wise Owl Looks Back

  5. Shake the Head & Swing the Tail

  6. Touch the Sky & Press the Earth

  7. Punching With Angry Eyes

  8. Lifting Up the Heels

I have been working on this sequence for several months, now, as part of my teaching certification. Be sure to let me know how you enjoy the practice!
