Soft Nudge
Body As Oracle: A quiet story of trust, signals, and choosing from the inside out.
It’s Soft Nudge Friday—a quiet reminder to return to what’s true.
This morning, I had a call with a potential collaborator.
While I know what I want and value, I didn’t know this person. And in the past, I’ve entered relationships that seemed like a good fit—only to discover they weren’t aligned at all. As a Libra Rising (someone whose life path is fulfilled through relationship), choosing the right people is essential.
It always has been. (Remember my first book?!)
I’ve grown deeply discerning about who I let in. But my methods have shifted.
Letting the Body Lead
Before the call, I grounded myself—rooted, centered, present in my body. I have a daily practice that helps me get here.
Then I set a quiet intention: I’m going to let my body answer.
This meant I wasn’t going to lead with my mind. Yes, I would listen, observe, take in the information. But I wasn’t going to decide from my thoughts alone. I wanted to get underneath them. I wanted to trust what my body knew.
Because here’s the thing: the body doesn’t know how to lie. But the mind does. It can spin a story, cling to the past, rationalize or argue. The body, on the other hand, will always speak the truth—if you’re grounded and willing to feel it.
The Body Speaks First
When I joined the call, we smiled and exchanged pleasantries.
As I introduced myself, their interest seemed to dip. And as they spoke, I began to sense that we weren’t meeting at the same level of understanding.
…But all of that came after the knowing.
Because before I could even assess those details, my body had already spoken.
Almost immediately, I felt a tightening. My energy grew rigid. Then came a flash of anger—not in response to anything they said, but as a clear, embodied no. I was being shown a boundary. And I listened.
Reclaiming Our Inner Compass
Four weeks ago, at the start of the Intuitive Invitation series on my socials, I posed a simple question: Why bother to cultivate intuition at all?
Here’s one answer: research suggests we make around 35,000 decisions a day—and that most of them are made unconsciously, on autopilot.
Personally, I want my decisions to be present and right-aligned. I want to live from the now—not from outdated scripts, survival pressure, or fear.
That’s why I practice embodiment. That’s why I pause.
Because when I pause, I can both hear and feel the truth underneath the noise.
And when you make a present-based decision, it builds confidence…
Confidence deepens alignment…
Alignment opens the door to flow.
From here, life begins to move through you in beautiful, surprising ways.
Those 35,000 choices begin to shape a life that feels intentional—and deeply yours.
Your Soft Nudge:
This weekend, make one decision from your body. What does it say?
Ground and center your energy.
Set the intention to let your body speak your answer.
Listen inward.
Then, let me know how it goes in the comments. I love hearing from you.
Remember: Your body already knows. You just have to listen.

Jessica,
I love these soft nudges. This one was especially good for me.. To listen to the body before the mind has never been easy for me. Yesterday, my drill sergeant mind wanted me to get busy, to clean house, run errands, etc. I grounded, rooted and centered and LISTENED to my body, who said NO! That may have been too easy, right? But it was a place to start. Thank you for these beautiful soft nudges.
