Dear Jessica,

Oh my. I hardly know what to say, because that touched every cell in my being. Having selected a lifetime with two alcoholic, parents and an incestuous uncle, I learned very early to shut down everything. Besides the fact, one of my grandmothers favorite sayings was "children should be seen and not heard". Thank you for sharing your story. Your stories always invite me to look deeper into my own, and offer softness and healing.

Susan

Oh, Susan. Always so good to hear from you. Such tender words, and lived experience.

Right before checking in here, I just had one of those heart-rocking moments (I came across a share from a former childhood friend… whose life appears to have irreparably unraveled).

…What else can we do but feel? I decide to stay soft, and to let it all in. I feel softness is the way forward.❤️
